Visiting Lower Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona was a must on our American Southwest Road Trip. Antelope Canyon is a unique and beautiful place. The photographs taken in the slot canyons are iconic. (In fact, the most expensive photograph ever sold, Phantom by Peter Lik, was taken in Antelope Canyon.) I’ve seen so many gorgeous photographs taken in Antelope Canyon that I knew I had to experience, and photograph it, for myself.
Road trip vacations have become a favorite way for Kyle and I to explore while we travel. We typically fly to a city, rent a car, and then drive to all the places we want to see- mostly National Parks and fun cities. In September 2017 we took our vacation to Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. Here is our American Southwest Road Trip Itinerary.
Visiting the Grand Canyon North Rim has been on my bucket list for a while, so it was an easy must-see destination during our American Southwest Road Trip Vacation. We were lucky enough to book a cabin for a night (best decision ever!) and we were able to experience the sunset over the beautiful North Rim views.
We started our Southwest Vacation by flying into Las Vegas and staying the night in the city. The following morning we completed the 5(ish) hour drive to the Grand Canyon North Rim. The drive was pretty long but worth it to experience such an amazing place.
Last month I took advantage of a cheap flight deal (thanks Allegiant) and flew into Destin, Florida to visit my best friend Hannah. She moved to Destin a couple of years ago and I’ve been planning to visit her since. Well… I found a flight for less than $150 round trip, so I jumped on the opportunity. Florida was the go-to destination for my family vacations growing up but this was my first time visiting the Florida Panhandle. I took a long weekend trip (Friday night to Monday afternoon), which was a good amount of time to relax and chow down on some delicious seafood.
San Francisco is a unique and fun city to visit. Kyle and I spent about two days here during our vacation to California last October. Once we arrived in the city, we immediately checked into our hotel, Marriott – Fisherman’s Wharf. The location was perfect. We were within walking distance to most of the places we wanted to see our first day, which was spent in the Fisherman’s Wharf area.
