Last weekend we headed back over to the Greenbrier area of The Smokies to hike Porters Creek Trail. (Second hike of 2018!) It’s located fairly close to the Ramsey Cascades trailhead (which is my favorite hike in The Smokies). It’s a pretty easy hike that totals a little over 6 miles round trip.
Road trip vacations have become a favorite way for Kyle and I to explore while we travel. We typically fly to a city, rent a car, and then drive to all the places we want to see- mostly National Parks and fun cities. In September 2017 we took our vacation to Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. Here is our American Southwest Road Trip Itinerary.
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of my favorite places in the world. Since it is so close to home, I have been lucky enough to spend my free time exploring the park. With more than 800 miles of trails throughout the park, it might be difficult to decide which trails are worth your time. I’ve come up with 7 of my favorite must hike trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Visiting the Grand Canyon North Rim has been on my bucket list for a while, so it was an easy must-see destination during our American Southwest Road Trip Vacation. We were lucky enough to book a cabin for a night (best decision ever!) and we were able to experience the sunset over the beautiful North Rim views.
We started our Southwest Vacation by flying into Las Vegas and staying the night in the city. The following morning we completed the 5(ish) hour drive to the Grand Canyon North Rim. The drive was pretty long but worth it to experience such an amazing place.
